RHGA Donna Vacca
Vera Walton

Vera was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada in her early teens. Her artistic expressions remained as a hobby, mainly sketching until 6 years ago when she found herself an empty nester with more time on her hands and she took a watercolour class for fun. She found painting very soothing and fulfilling and blossomed from there through experimenting with different media and taking classes with seasoned artists.

She has participated in the Markham Studio Tour for the past two years, Markham Village art Show and Sale, and is going to participate in the Heintzman House Invitational Art Show in April 2010. She is happy to be a new member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists and is looking forward to further inspirations and study of new techniques.

Her recent work is mainly expressionistic and abstract, media of choice is acrylic. Watercolour still remains a choice for sporadic abstract expression.
