Taya Winitsky
Taya and her family came to Canada in 1976 from Tashkent, capital of former Soviet Republic. The art life was very vibrant in the city, so Taya had the chance in her youth to be introduced to visual arts. She loved to visit Russian Museums and Art Exhibitions. In Canada she fell in love with the beautiful nature of the north country. She started to take photographs of the landscapes of Quebec and Ontario, and dream about painting. After devoting her lifetime to raising a family and working fulltime as a Payroll Manager, Taya started to study painting 4 years ago with professional artist Sergey Malina. In the spring of 2010 Taya joined the Richmond Hill Group of Artists, where she introduced her works in the group shows. Taya loves painting various subjects of life that surround her and inspire her. It could be flowers from her garden, scenery from beautiful Canadian landscapes or people that bring a warm feeling to her heart. In her paintings Taya likes to evoke the feeling and energy of a particular situation of the place and time. Her paintings reflect her delight in observing life around her and her own wide and varied experience. |
