Sima Shayo
Sima Shayo was born in Cairo, Egypt. Shortly thereafter she immigrated with her parents to Israel. Sima started painting in 1966 as a member of the Art Centre located in the heart of the old city of Jaffa, Israel. Later she enrolled at the Art Academy of Bat-Yam in Israel. She participated in group shows at the Art Center of Holon. Sima also had an Art show in 1981, sponsored by the Rotary Club and the municipality of Holon.
Currently residing in Toronto, Sima is a member of the Thornhill group of Artists, Richmond Hill group of Artists, Toronto water color Society and has held many successful art shows. Painting is a very important part in her daily life. She expresses herself through painting her daily environment.
Sima’s love of nature is evident in her paintings, as she enjoys painting beautiful landscapes most, using watercolours and acrylics. Her paintings hang in numerous private collections, and are available for viewing at art shows she hosts from time to time. |
