Apama Shahrzad lives and works in Toronto, Canada. She completed her studies in Digital Media Technical Production at Seneca@York. After specializing in advertising, she began working as a free-lance artist and soon found herself in the position of a Creative Director for a well-established Canadian trade magazine. However, Apama’s incessant craving for freedom in creativity and self-expression has led her on a journey back to the beginning of her artistic passion: painting.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Apama primarily developed her unique artistic vision by drawing inspiration from her own imagination. For her, painting is a release and an explosion of self-expression. She bravely explores the boundaries of her art, by using layers and layers of color and by experimenting with different and unconventional media. The premise of her art is to discover the never-before-seen, to create layers of emotion and passion.
